The Talent Together project, funded by the UNHCR Refugee-led Innovation Fund from February 2023 to April 2024, has become a beacon of hope and transformation for refugees striving to rebuild their lives in Lithuania.
This project went beyond traditional support by empowering refugee entrepreneurs with the skills, confidence, and networks needed to succeed. Yuliia Mudryk, a participant from Ukraine, embodies this success. Her journey and gratitude capture the essence of Talent Together’s impact:
"It is very rare to encounter information that is so pure and direct, without unnecessary fluff... Every minute here was worth the time I spent on these lectures."
Initially, Yuliia felt overwhelmed by starting a business in a new country with unfamiliar laws and processes. She found a clear path forward thanks to the project’s comprehensive support. Through tailored mentorship, Yuliia gained not only practical knowledge but also confidence. She noted,
"The mentor helped me find solutions I hadn’t considered before, which were obvious to them."
This one-on-one guidance transformed her perspective, helping her to establish a meditation club, a venture she once thought was out of reach. Yuliia’s success is part of a bigger picture: The RCL's entrepreneurship program empowers refugees by fostering self-sufficiency, resilience, and community involvement. Her story showcases the true impact of the project—a platform that not only provides essential skills but also inspires refugees to pursue their dreams confidently. Yuliia’s journey invites other refugees to embrace entrepreneurship and our partners to keep supporting initiatives that drive economic empowerment and social inclusion.
Through Yuliia’s empowerment story, we continually encourage refugees to embark on entrepreneurial projects, building on the solid foundation established by the Talent Together project. Kindly take a moment to view her message!
