📢 Citizen Lab for Refugee Entrepreneurs – Open Lecture and Meeting with Partners at KTU

On March 19, we had the pleasure of hosting an open lecture and meeting with partners at KTU’s School of Economics and Business, focusing on refugee entrepreneurship and financial inclusion. 🌍💼

🔹 Kaunas Tech Park Partners delivered a presentation titled "Empowering Refugee Women: Insights from the BSI4Women Business Incubation Program", presented by Vaiva Kelmelytė, Director of Operations, and Živilė Paužaitė, Head of Quality. The session highlighted the achievements of the Interreg BSR “BSI4Women” project, which supports Ukrainian refugee women in starting and growing their businesses. This initiative fosters economic independence through business incubation, mentorship, and networking, in collaboration with international partners from Poland, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, and Sweden.

🔹 Viktoriia Palahniuk, Project Manager at RCL, also shared key insights from our project "Bridging the Financial Gap: Enhancing Access to Financial Support for Refugee Entrepreneurs in Lithuania."The Project is funded by Open Lithuania Foundation #remiaALF #CERV

This project has been instrumental in identifying financial challenges and opportunities for refugee entrepreneurs, focusing on:

✅ Refugee Needs Assessment – Understanding the barriers in accessing financial resources.

✅ Business Financing Ecosystem & Partners Mapping – Exploring funding opportunities and key stakeholders to support refugee-led businesses.

The event provided a valuable space to discuss solutions for sustainable entrepreneurship and financial inclusion for refugees. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and contributed! 💡✨
