On June 2, 2025, the Refugee Council of Lithuania hosted a powerful roundtable in Vilnius—bringing together 15+ voices from refugee communities, municipalities, NGOs, UNHCR, IOM, and grassroots leaders.
This was more than a conversation. It was a step toward collective action, innovation, and inclusive support systems.
A highlight? The discussion around VolEver—a proposed mobile app concept that would match volunteers with refugees based on language, location, and specific needs. A promising idea with real potential to transform support delivery.
💡 The roundtable also featured:
• Moving refugee stories
• Shared best practices from across Lithuania
• Honest conversations about key challenges: language barriers, psychological trauma, and recognition of qualifications
• Community-driven solutions like cultural family camps and emotional support programs
One message stood out: integration must be human-centered. And it only works when we work together.
Let’s turn dialogue into action—with empathy, collaboration, and bold ideas. 💙💛
This project is co-funded by the European Union.
